Sell Bestival Tickets

If you’ve managed to buy too many tickets, have friends who have dropped out, or need to sell your Bestival tickets for any other reason, there are a number of reputable places you can sell them.

DON’T sell your tickets to ticket touts.  You probably won’t get a great price for them and some other poor festivalgoer, desperate to get in, will end up paying massively over the odds.  In a similar vein, DON’T sell your tickets on Ebay.  Yes it’s an easy way to make a quick bit of cash, but in the spirit of the festival, pass it on for the price you paid for it and don’t be a mercenary about it.

Selling Bestival tickets for face value

First of all, try posting on Facebook and Twitter or sending an email around to friends/work colleagues and see if you can sell the ticket that way.  It’s always easier to sell to someone you know as there is less to worry about, in terms of not getting your money from a stranger, or concerns that you’re selling to a tout.  You can also try posting on Bestival Facebook groups and offering the ticket(s), as this will give you a much wider audience.

If no one is interested in the ticket then try selling your Bestival ticket online.  You can list Bestival tickets on sites like seatwave, viagogo and getmein, which will give you a higher than average chance of finding a buyer and take a commission if the ticket is sold successfully.

It’s also worth looking at fan-to-fan ticket swaps like Scarlet Mist.  These are a little more complex as you’ll need to arrange the payment and exchange of the ticket yourself (face value or less only).  The site is free – you’ll be asked to make a donation but this is voluntary.  To avoid problems with people getting ripped off, sites like this recommend an escrow service like Auctionchex where the money is paid in advance to the escrow and then released once the ticket has changed hands.
